Our Eye Doctors
1st Street and Village Eye Centres have a long and distinguished history in Edmonton when it comes to vision care and eye doctors. H.G. Willis started the practice downtown on the corner of 101st Street and Jasper Avenue in 1921 on the ground floor of Empire Block. His motto was “See Willis and See Well.” Dr. A.C. Willis joined the practice around 1945 when H.G. Willis retired. Dr. A.C. Willis practised until the early 1980s. Dr. David Plotsky graduated in 1965 and joined the practice in the Empire Block, which was torn down and replaced by the current Empire Building. Dr. Plotsky practised in Edmonton and Sherwood Park until he passed away in 2002.
The current eye doctors at 1st Street and Village Eye Centres in Edmonton are Dr. J. Evans, who joined the practice in 1983, and Dr. S. Tromposch, who joined in 1985. Dr. A.
